The figure of the princess Irandati is considered one of the most beautiful in the Ajanta paintings, noted for its subtle modeling and the illusion of warmth and rounded form. Irandati is shown amusing herself and singing a melodious song when she catches the eye of the Yaksha General Punnaka, who is flying overhead on his white-winged horse.
